[Construction Case] Achieved cost reduction and shortened delivery time by switching to thermal spraying.

Successfully reduced the cost and shortened the delivery time of sintered insulation parts! The strength of the parts has also increased, and they no longer break.

We would like to introduce a case where we converted sintered products into metal substrates and applied insulation coating to the necessary areas. The customer faced challenges with sintered products being expensive, having long lead times, and the substrate sometimes breaking. By applying insulation coating, we were able to maintain the traditional insulation, reduce costs, and shorten lead times. 【Case Overview】 ■ Challenges - Sintered products are expensive, have long lead times, and the substrate can break. - We want to reduce costs and shorten lead times while maintaining the same level of insulation as before. ■ Results - Costs were reduced, and lead times were shortened. - By changing to metal, the strength of the parts increased, and breakage was eliminated. *For more details, please download the PDF or feel free to contact us.

Insulation coating service

"Insulating coating" with the property of not conducting electricity and not being destroyed even under high voltage.

"Insulation coating" is a processing technology that possesses excellent electrical properties among resins and is used for applications such as insulating components, preventing electrolysis, and addressing static electricity issues. It is widely adopted not only for insulation films but also for improving product performance through partial coating. [Applications] ■ Next-generation automotive parts (EV), electrical components: motor coils, linear motor insulation parts ■ Precision machinery parts: various electrodes, switches, bolts, aluminum plates, etc. *For more details, please download the PDF or feel free to contact us.

Insulation coating [Compatible with ultra-fine thermocouples with a minimum diameter of 13μm!]

Achieve high-precision measurements with insulating coating!

It is possible to apply an insulating coating such as ceramics or resin to the tip of the thermocouple. We can accommodate not only general-purpose and ultra-thin thermocouples but also ultra-fine thermocouples with a diameter of 13μm. The coating thickness will be between 20 to 40μm. Since the coating is added to the price of the thermocouple, the unit price will vary depending on the number of units ordered. You can place an order for just one unit, but the unit price will be higher compared to ordering multiple units. Additionally, the delivery time will take at least about three weeks. *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.

Insulating coating

Softness equivalent to "tires"! We also have extensive experience in construction for plating jigs and plating treatment racks.

The "Insulating Coating" boasts high electrical insulation properties, providing insulation effects for electrical equipment, construction sites, and facilities. We also have extensive experience in application for plating jigs and plating treatment racks. The application can be performed at relatively low temperatures, and the curing (masking) treatment is also relatively easy for this coating. We propose coatings tailored to customer needs, such as "wanting to suppress electrical conduction to metal substrates (workpieces)" or "wanting to prevent electric shock," using PVC, polyethylene, nylon, epoxy, and others. 【Features of PVC (Polyvinyl Chloride)】 ■ Electrical Insulation: Breakdown voltage of the coating is 12kV/mm or higher (compliant with ASTM D149) ■ Volume resistivity: 3×10^10 Ω·cm (compliant with JIS K6911) ■ Hardness (Type A durometer): 65° (compliant with JIS K6253) ■ Resin colors (basic): Black, orange, ivory, and other colors can be freely adjusted ■ Tensile strength: 13.2 MPa (megapascals; for reference, the typical water pressure of a high-pressure washer is 10 MPa) ■ Elongation at break: 392%; Tear strength: 45.3 N/mm *For more details, please refer to the PDF materials or feel free to contact us.

[Problem-Solving Case] Coating with High Thermal Conductivity and Insulation Properties

A case that combines a coating for heat dissipation and a highly insulating coating!

We would like to introduce a case study of problem-solving using Japan MT's "Dry Lubrication Coating Dry Surface." This involved the application of an insulating film on an aluminum cover for automotive motors, requiring an insulating coating with high thermal conductivity (heat absorption). Initially, we planned to use alumina thermal spraying, but it was very costly, and we needed to secure a film thickness of over 100μm, which posed precision issues. Therefore, we applied the insulating coating DC2830 to ensure insulation at around 20μm. Additionally, we applied the 8441MT coating on top, which also improved thermal issues. The processing temperature was below 200°C, with no impact on the aluminum. [Key Points of Problem Solving] ■ Insulation and thermal conductivity generally have opposing properties. ■ In this case, we attempted to meet both performance requirements by combining a coating that dissipates heat with a highly insulating coating. *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.
